The lovely Katrina E celebrated her 14th birthday at Lee Academy on the weekend with us by choosing to have her birthday party at Lee Academy.
It was a really wonderful party with all her dancing & school friends coming along to share the fun with Miss Emma, Miss Laura & Miss Rachel to enjoy the day with Katrina & friends.

Head teacher of Acrobatics & Gymnastics, Dianne Banks, enjoyed a wonderful 2 days with many other Lee Academy teachers upgrading the acrobatics syllabus to the “Acrodancer” training system.
Lee Academy will be one of the first schools in Australia to take on the brand new syllabus that is world class in it’s content & structure. A very exciting new program has now been implemented within all LA gym classes & we are very excited about the new syllabus which offers amazing opportunities to take exams, grading & gain many qualifications.

Congratulations to the Lee Academy Dancers who were selected to perform in this years Youth in Performing Arts Concerts! The annual Youth In Performing Arts, or “YIPA” concerts are a series of concerts that are run by Gosford Shire Council to showcase young talent on the Central Coast.
Performers are required to audition and 2010 saw over 400 acts try out for the 168 available positions. Lee Academy has many acts & students in the event. YIPA Coordinator Chris Cox said “This year saw a vast number of quality performers and the strongest level of competition for positions we had seen for a very long time.” making it one of the toughest years of competition they had seen in the show’s history.
Last Tuesday was a really fun night with our beautiful acro routine performing = of course the crowd went wild over it & many people had not seen anything like it before.
It was so much fun & our students were all exceptional.
A special thank you to Miss Danni, Miss Katie, Miss Jacqui & Cara for helping out so much with the junior students.
Miss Jo & LA team are excited to announce that the cast of “Wicked” is coming to visit our Tuggerah studio in the Winter School Holidays. The event is absolutely free!

This is some of the work that Mr Joshua Horner did with one of the Lee Academy dancers Danni Hegarty when he was here. Joshua Horner, who is based in the USA as a professional choreographer, works with Lee Academy students whenever he is in Australia and this is what he achieved with Danni in just 2 hours in the studio.
All at Lee Academy are extremely proud and excited to announce that we have recently acquired a fully equipped dance studio which is now home to many of the Lake Munmorah classes.
Located at Unit 2, 7 David close, Doyalson, the new studio has 2 dance rooms, each with beautiful dance floors, mirrors and ballet barres.
Doyalson also has a dance supplies outlet within that supplies Lee Academy uniforms, shoes, diamonte jewelry and Lee Academy merchandise.
This expansion and upgrade has been a long time coming for the Northern end of the Coast & we thank you for your continued dedication and commitment to Lee Academy.
It has also been wonderful to welcome lots of new pupils to our Doyalson studio too as we purchased the studio: “Vogue Dancers” & would like to give everyone who was originally from Vogue a very warm welcome into our Lee Academy family.
Had an excellent first night back to class with the best of the best there ready to teach all our kids.
