Tia Jordan – workshop

The wonderful Tia Jordan runs independent audition preparation workshops all over Australia, & Lee Academy was extremely privelidged to host Tia Jordan’s audition preparation workshop for our fulltime & advanced pupils on the 2nd March.

It was an absolute delight to have Tia Jordan visit our studios & the information & training imparted to the performers was world-class.

We look forward to hosting more auditionguru.com workshops & encourage all performers to take these workshops they are simply the most valuable training & preparation tool available.

In Class – 1st term

It’s only Week 6 but we already have had so many great classes. All of our Teachers & Coaches are so inspirational & our students are just getting better & better.

Miss Laura living her dream dancing on a Grand-class cruise ship: Diamond Princess

The Diamond Princess took a once-only, one-day stop over in Sydney Harbour on the weekend so it was a great opportunity for Miss Jo, Damian & family to see Miss Laura in action aboard the A-class cruise ship.

Miss Laura spent the day showing Miss Jo around the ship, backstage tour & a wonderful time to catch up.

So proud of Miss Laura : living her dreams performing as one of the star dancers on board in the beautiful 750 seat theatre that is housed within the ship. Laura joins fellow past LA student Lauren S on board the very same ship, & it was a lovely coincidence to run into another past student Luke on his way to teach at Sydney Dance Co on the same day!

Michael Schwandt workshop a huge success!

Thank you to Michael Schwandt for coming to Lee Academy to host his workshop in Advanced Jazz Funk with Lee Academy students & “friends of Lee Academy” last night.

As with most international guests we hosted the advanced level of workshop & it was great to see so many there making the most of our state-of-the-art studios.

Welcome Warnervale Primary School Sport participants

Lee Academy has the pleasure of hosting the lovely Warnervale Primary School children for school sporting activities this term. The students get to learn cheerleading, gymnastics AND hip-hop at the beautiful Tuggerah studios!

The students are all so good & the teachers are great too: welcome to Lee Academy Warnervale Primary School & glad you are all having so much fun!

Zac’s opening night: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” @ Sydney Opera House

A huge congratulations to Master Zachary S: who made his professional debut at The Sydney Opera House as a dancer & gymnast in Baz Luhrmann’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” with Opera Australia. Miss Jo, Mum Kym, Auntie Lynda & his Grandma & Grandad were all there on opening night to cheer Zac on.

So proud of you Zac & overjoyed to see you doing what you were born to do!

Zac has had many gruelling hours of rehearsal in Sydney, started Yr 7 at Wyong High & comes to every single one of the 20 classes he takes a week at Lee Academy whenever he is not in Sydney doing the shows = always with a positive attitude & his typical hard-working approach in class. Well done to mini-man & his wonderful family who are so very supportive of Zac, especially his 2 little sisters Ellie & Zali & Master Jayden who are all very happy for Zac & very talented performers too!

Welcome Baby Jake!
