Patron Mr Josh Horner coaches LA students

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

It was great having our the Patron of Lee Academy, Mr. Josh Horner (formerly of the Australian Ballet, star of Billy Elliot & much more) visiting our studio while in Australia to give intensive coaching sessions to many of our students. Mr. Josh worked with our young stars intensively for 2 weeks & passed on much of his knowledge to the pupils. Although only in Australia for a very short period of time, Mr Josh chose to spend the majority of it with us at Lee Academy & we cannot thank him enough for the wonderful contribution he makes to our school. Our pupils enjoyed work-shopping thier solo pieces, working on turns, kicks & leaps, & learning the wonderful choreography of Mr. Josh’s plus many hours learning choreography from the best musicals in the world.

“Watching Lee Academy grow from its beginning days has been in my eyes, the greatest thing for youth on the Central Coast. Very rarely do you get a state of the art Dance and Acrobatic studio with such a variety of local and skilled guest teachers from all around the world. Lee Academy is the most positive and talent producing school that the Central Coast has to offer. To see kids develop and achieve their own personal goals in a fun, nurturing and friendly environment makes me honoured to be the Patron of Lee Academy.”

a few of the great images we received

Photo days – a huge success
Our photo days were an absolute success with all of our students receiving beautiful, quality images that will be cherished forever. This year our pupils were also supplied with webpics of thier individual shots from the photographer by request: a fantastic extra to our service at no extra cost. Thank you to Tierneys photography for such wonderful, professional images of our pupils.
