Danni & Emma on “Everybody Dance Now” Channel 10

Lee Academy super-talent duo, Danni Hegarty & Emma Macpherson have been selected for Channel 10’s new dance show “Everybody Dance Now” !
We are absolutely delighted that the girls were chosen amongst thousands of dancers who auditioned all over the country & we are so very excited & hugely grateful for this opportunity to have Lee Academy talent showcased. Bring it on!

Jo Cotterill (Lee Academy Director & the duo choreographer) & Danni & Emma are busily preparing for the series.

Re-united LA girls in Paris

2 wonderful members of our dancing family Karina & Sammy, were so happy to re-unite in Paris under the Eiffel tower recently!

Both girls were members of the Lee Academy original team “Phantom of the Opera” which won Lee Academy’s first ever 99/100 score way back in 2003, & won countless competitions all over NSW in it’s time. The girls are currently both world travelers, & were delighted to meet each other again.

Next year is Lee Academy’s 20^th year, when we look forward to many of our dancing family members returning home to us to celebrate the milestone.

Jess & William dancing on Disney Channel this Thursday night!

We were very excited to hear today that two of our students video entries submitted for Let’s Dance have been selected as Daily Picks to preview on Disney Channel!
Both William and Jessica D’s entries will air on Disney Channel this Thursday 28 June from 5pm (AEST) and will also be available to see on the Let’s Dance website here: DisneyChannel.com.au/letsdance/daily-picks.

Young dancer Zac Smith into the City of Sydney Eisteddfod finals

Lee Academy dancer Zac Smith is into the finals at City of Sydney Eisteddfod for his lyrical solo after a stunning performance last night.
Zac, who studies all styles of dance at Lee Academy, placed in the top 6 out of a section with 68 amazing ballet dancers in it! YES! GO ZAC!

Cassie performs “She will be loved”

Beautiful dancer, Cassie Clarke has been working hard in the studio this year & we decided to create a video of her stunning lyrical dance choreographed for her by our Dianne Rakebrandt.

Mr Josh at Lee Academy this week

Joshua Horner, our wonderful Patron & judge on Dancing with the Stars, choreographer for Disney & star of A Chorus Line has been with us all week teaching many of our students privately, in workshops & also in masterclasses in classical ballet, musical thetare, pas de deux, jazz, audition technique, turns & contemporary dance.
It has been wonderful to see Mr Josh all week & our students have once again greatly improved under Mr Josh’s guidance.
