Lee Academy since 1993

LEE ACADEMY is the culmination of years of hard work and a firm belief in dance as a positive force. It is the fulfillment of Jo Cotterill’s vision and a source of inspiration for those who want to make dance an important part of their lives.

Jo’s lifelong dream was to be the director of a successful performing arts school. Jo started Lee Academy, with a school friend at the age of 17, as students teaching the high school dance group, this small group then quickly flourished to include young students who are now Lee Academy Teachers. After 3 years together at the helm, Jo & her good friend parted ways, with Jo taking on the sole responsibilities of Director of Lee Academy.

Along the way Jo selected talented & dedicated people to join the Lee Academy team, & Lee Academy as we know it today began to expand & develop into the powerhouse of dance on the Central Coast.

Where Lee Academy comes from is important & forms the foundation that its future is built upon.
Since its inception, Lee Academy’s goal has been to provide a broad spectrum of dance education within a nurturing and professional environment, preparing dancers for the continually evolving international dance arena. LEE ACADEMY primarily offers a comprehensive graded children's program, as well an open program of classes to suit professional as well as recreational dancers, LEE ACADEMY is also the home of TIERNEY’S PHOTOGRAPHY, the renowned professional photographers on the Central Coast.

We take what we have learned in the past & the solid foundation Lee Academy was built upon into the very exciting future
